Our mission is to engage in advocacy and education to improve trans rights. We do this by developing and sharing resources with strategic partners & allies nationwide. 

We have identified the following areas of discrimination that require urgent action:

  • Denial of medically necessary care
  • Under-delivery of physical and psychological health services
  • Insensitive or hostile treatment from health care professionals

  • Excessive dropout rates due to toxic school environments
  • Lack of safety from discrimination and bullying
  • Barriers to access new educational opportunities
    
    
• Housing
  • Evictions
  • Denial of access to housing and shelters
  • Hostile treatment by landlords and shelter workers
    
    
• Employment
  • Termination without cause
  • Demotions and constructive dismissal
  • Exclusionary hiring practices
    
    
• Legal and Social Services
  • Criminalization of transgender/gender-diverse people 
  • Denial of access to community and individual support services
  • Insensitive or hostile treatment from service providers
